Add a Stand Up Paddleboard activity type to Strava!
What I think would be more useful here is that there is the ability to add custom types e.g. SUP, white water kayaking, sprint, marathon etc ...
Yes, please add an SUP or "Paddlesports" entry. Strava would be ideal for tracking this sort of activity
I do a lot of kayaking ... why isn't that in the list? Shouldn't you be able to add your items to the list? I'm sure there are lots of other things people would want to add.
Yes please, Add a Paddlesport entry. That would add a lot of sport junkies to Strava, and that would allow my outrigging club to finally enter the friendly competition mode that i have already with my cycling friends!
The "Paddlesport" entry is probably the best idea. Ideally you'd have Paddleboard and SUP separately, but i suppose you could end up breaking it down too much.
All paddlesports should be included--at least in a paddlers version if not with separate detail.
Paddle sports with a selection process akin to the bike one so you can see how each Board/Craft compares

I look forward to adding some interesting river, lake and ocean trips including the Grand Canyon. Human powered paddlesports are some of the best fitness exercises out there. Strava, please add a paddlesports!
I have been using 'windsurf' because of the board but Matt is probably more on the money with 'workout'.
Does anyone know id the bluetooth heart rate monitor would die if it was submerged?
I used the "swim" feature to record my SUP paddle this morning. Looks like I am a VERY fast swimmer! Add SUP!

I currently upload all my paddles with the Rides activity type. I used to upload as Workouts, but you get none of the Ride or Running features (ie heat maps, Activity summaries on profile etc),.
It's a nasty hack/workaround and I'd love to see another Paddling main type (with different categories like bikes for Ride for SUP, Kayak, SurfSki, etc) so these can be matched off apples vs apples against other paddlers...

Paddlesport sounds like a great idea. I'm using 'workout' to track the ocean ski paddles - but would like a dedicated activity for paddling/kayaking/SUP. Helps to start some more competition on the water!
I am using workout for my paddling too, which isn't ideal. Adding Paddling or Paddlesport would be great. I paddle a mix of sea kayak, waka ama (OC1 and OC6) as well as SUP so either a generic paddle activity type or adding Waka ama to the paddling list would make me happy : )
Attention Strava management, this is very simple. Add SUP, kayaking and everything people want added. Also add a custom function so people can add their own workout. EG. Dragging a tire in the sand.

I absolutely love using Strava! It is amazing and you guys have done a great job with it! Please add a SUP or paddle option! I paddle twice a day and it would be great to call it SUP instead of Windsurfing which mixes in with my windsurf sessions. That would be awesome!!!

You provide windsurfing and kitesurfing so it should be easy to add SUP since there many more paddleboarders then wind or kite surfing.
